Little River Band |
|
Little River Band was formed in Melbourne, Australia in 1975 as a rock band and achieved success in both Australia and the United States, selling more than thirty million records. The band was named for a small town near Melbourne. None of the members of the current band are original members of the band. The makeup of the band has changed many times over the years with more the thirty different members, at least partly because of friction between various members of the band from time to time. Several of the bands recordings reached the top twenty on the music charts and only one reached number one on the charts. "Reminiscing" peaked at number three on the Billboard singles chart. The song was written by the bands guitarist, Graeham Goble, and sung by their lead singer, Glenn Shorrock. It was released in June of 1978. It was given an award for five million plays on U.S. radio, the most ever of an Australian popular song.
