In Remembrance Mary Jane Eckhart |
|
On April 19, 2021, my wife of almost 62 years passed to her eternal rest in Heaven. I am confident that she is now at home with God and her Lord and Savior, and that she fulfilled the purpose for which she was created. In remembrance of her and to honor her and the life she lived, I have created this video. Mary Jane passed away less than two months shy of our 62nd wedding anniversary. Add to that the nine years that we knew each other and dated and were engaged prior to marriage and you have more than 70 years during which she was a significant part of my life. It’s difficult to summarize more than 70 years in just a few short minutes. It is my hope that this video will be a memorial to her and will be honoring to her memory and the life she lived. But I also hope that it will be an encouragement to others. It is highly unlikely that anyone will ever read anything about Mary Jane (Stimmel) Eckhart in any history books. Most of the world will never know that she ever existed. Yet, I know that there are still others whose lives she impacted in a positive way. All of us can take encouragement from her example that, while we may never know precisely what influence we have in the world around us, it is important that we make our impact on our world as positive as possible. My goal is to honor her and her memory and to have this video serve as a remembrance for our family and friends whose lives she touched in a special way. The outline for the video is based on her obituary, published on April 24, 2021, in the Prescott (AZ) Daily Courier. The obituary can be viewed at https://www.dcourier.com/news/2021/apr/24/obituary-mary-jane-eckhart/
I love you, Honey!!
