If you are a caregiver, its likely that you acquired the role gradually so that you didnt notice that it was happening, until one day you heard someone talking about caregivers and you suddenly realized that they were talking about you. Here are seven things to think about every day as a caregiver. 1. Simplify your life. Eliminate unnecessary commitments and obligations. Remove distractions. Focus on whats important. 2. Every day is different. Stay flexible. Expect the unexpected. 3. Everything takes longer. Allow extra time to do anything and everything. 4. Clear your calendar. Dont try to cram too many activities into one day. 5. Take care of yourself. Eat right, exercise, rest. 6. There are good days and not-so-good days. Enjoy the good ones and be thankful for them. Prepare for the others. 7. Pray. . .for patience, strength, and wisdom
